Ninth Street Summerfest

The next Ninth Street Summerfest concert in Columbia is Dierks Bentley on June 13. If you'd like to see the show, be watching our Facebook page in the first week of July for the chance to win tickets.

Happy Mother's Day. The Missouri Lottery salutes all mothers in Missouri and beyond. We don't have a special Mother's Day ticket, but if you're looking for a little something to let your mom know you care, consider a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. They aren't expensive, can be found anywhere and your mom could win a really nice prize.

Holiday

State offices, including the Missouri Lottery, will be closed Wednesday in observance of Harry S Truman Day. We will reopen for regular business Thursday.

Once again, Show Me Cash rolled last night and is even higher - $288,000! The Mega Millions jackpot for tonight is also up to $34 million with a cash value of $25.1 million.  Got your tickets?

The jackpots keep climbing!

No one won the Show Me Cash jackpot last night, so it now rises to $255,000 for tonight. Powerball and Lotto also rolled and sit at $50 million and $2.1 million, respectively, for Saturday night’s drawing.  There was a big winner in Club Keno last night; a player at Scooters Express in Forsyth won $7,742 on a 6-spot ticket. Congrats!

It's a scam

There are a lot of scams going around right now, and with the Powerball jackpot being so large, it's bound to be a hot item. I got a message from a player today stating that she got the following email:

For a winning of $2.7M  contact Mr kati of POWERBALL LOTTERY with Ref No: PWB /2324514325/2012

Remember, we don't know where the winners are until you present a winning ticket to us. We will not call you. If you get a message like this one, it's a scam.

It's a scam

We heard news today that an 81-year-old Maryland man lost his home after being scammed. Follow that up with this - the U.S. Postal Inspection Service estimates that Americans lost $42 million to fraud between 2009 and 2011. This story on MSN gives details on how you can avoid being scammed.

Remember, you don't have to pay us when you win a prize. If someone is asking for money up front to collect a prize, it's a scam.

Rolling...

The jackpots are rolling this week. The Mega Millions jackpot grew to $19 million, and tonight's Show Me Cash jackpot stands at $246,000. You can win $1.2 million playing Lotto, and the Powerball jackpot is up to $90 million.

Don't forget, you can win prizes other than the jackpot in these games. There were 19 players who won $250 playing Show Me Cash last night, and the second prize in Powerball is $1 million.
