Make it a Winning Weekend

Pick 3 players raked in almost $140,000 in prizes following last night’s pick of 1-1-3.  In fact, 260 players won the $300 straight match prize for the evening draw.

There are also plenty of prizes up for grabs this Memorial weekend. The Show Me Cash jackpot rolled again, so there’s $238,000 at stake for tonight’s drawing, while tonight’s Mega Millions drawing could earn someone a memorable $15 million. Saturday offers up a respectable $1.7 million Lotto jackpot and a $50 million Powerball prize.

New Scratchers!

There are several new Scratchers games on the street this week. Call it good timing - there's a new $5 game featuring our big jackpot Draw Games, Powerball and Mega Millions. The Scratchers ticket features two scenes, one for each jackpot game. You could win up to $100,000 instantly, and the game includes thousands of "free plays." Have you ever missed winning Pick 3 or Pick 4 by one number? We will soon have a play type for that! You can already play straight, box, front pair, back pair, etc. Beginning June 16, you'll be able to play 1-Off, and if you miss the winning combination by one number, you will still be a winner.

Pick 3!

Pick 3 players are celebrating "Chicago-style" after today's midday winning combination - 3-1-2. More than 1,000 players won prizes that were mostly box plays, so it's possible that players preferred 1-2-3 to the windy city. Whatever the inspiration, the Lottery shelled out more than $160,000 in prizes.

Pick 3 players scored big yesterday on a popular play type - the date. Last night's winning Pick 3 combination was 3-1-5. As yesterday's date was 5/13, more than 1,000 players scored a prize, including several hundred who hit it straight. The Lottery paid more than $190,000 in prizes.

The "Ticket To Ride" second-chance promotion is halfway home. The Missouri Lottery has held two of the scheduled four drawings and awarded half of the prizes available. Two drawings remain, so enter those non-winning "Harley-Davidson®" Scratchers into your My Lottery accounts to be eligible for more prizes.

The Lottery mobile unit made some weekend stops at various dealerships around the state, and producer Frank Finley rode along. Here's his report on the events, which will come to a head on May 30 - June 1 at the H.O.G. Rally in Springfield.

Win larger prizes

With the jackpots so large right now, everyone is focused on our big jackpot games - Mega Millions and Powerball. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot is up to $170 million, and Wednesday's Powerball jackpot is $350 million. Undoubtedly, both games will have a jackpot winner soon (or two or three), but thousands of you will win a smaller prize. You might consider spending an extra $1 on your ticket to add Megaplier or Power Play.

Both games have a feature that increases those lower-tier prizes. Add Power Play to your Powerball ticket and turn a $4 prize into $12, or a $1 million prize into $2 million. Add Meaplier to your Mega Millions ticket and turn a $250,000 prize into $1 million. It's a good way to make sure that even if you don't win the jackpot, you still walk away with a sizable prize. A storekeeper from Salisbury turned a $10,000 Mega Millions prize in March into $20,000 thanks to Megaplier.

Another feature new players might not be aware of is the advance play feature. You can play up to 15 consecutive drawings at a time on most Lottery Draw Games, including Mega Millions and Powerball. If you're going on vacation and still want to be in the mix should the jackpots continue to climb, ask for a multi-draw ticket, or fill out a playslip and mark how many drawings you would like to play. Whatever numbers you purchase will be good for the number of drawings that you select.

It only takes one ticket to win, but you do have to play. We've got features to make it easier to play and win bigger prizes. The rest is up to you.

Happy Mother's Day. The Missouri Lottery salutes all mothers in Missouri and beyond. They aren't expensive, can be found anywhere and your mom could win a really nice prize.

Pick 3

Last night was good for Pick 3 players, but today has been even better. Pick 3 players won more than $51,000 in prizes last night on 9-0-1. The secret agent man delivered an even bigger payout today with 0-0-7. Players scooped up more than $90,000 at midday.

Club Keno!

Amazingly, all of the jackpots rolled last night. Of course, there were lots of winners. Five players in other states won $1 million for matching five white-ball numbers in Powerball. There were 29 players who won $250 playing Show Me Cash, and 14 players who won $587 playing Lotto. There was also a big Club Keno winner. A player at Jamie's Place in Holden hit eight out of 10 spots with Double Bulls-Eye and won $6,500.

Still, the jackpots grew. Tonight's Show Me Cash jackpot is up to $117,000. The Mega Millions jackpot is $103 million for Friday, and the Powerball jackpot is $140 million for Saturday. If you're not a regular player, it's time to dust off those playslips and get in the game. And don't forget to add Power Play - it could be the difference between $1 and $2 million.
