The next time you go to buy Powerball tickets, you'll notice a change. Tickets now cost $2, and you get a lot of extra bang for your buck. Jackpots will start at $40 million and grow quicker. The chances of winning a jackpot are better, and players who match all five white-ball numbers will win $1 million. Power Play is still an extra $1, and players who match five white-ball numbers with Power Play will win $2 million.
This means more millionaires in Missouri. The change went into effect today. Multi-draw purchases have been re-instated, and tickets are now on sale for Wednesday's jackpot under the new matrix and prize structure. Good luck!

Powerball is not worth $2.00 a ticket. I switched over to MegaMillions this week. That decision was made to switch over to others as soon as I heard it was going up.
