When Joe Herbert of Nixa entered to win a Royal Caribbean cruise as part of a My Lottery promotion, he never imagined that he would win. Knowing that "if you don't enter, you can't win," Joe put his name in the hat and was lucky enough to be chosen.
He won the prize back in March. Joe and his wife, Mary Lou, just took the trip in late September. He's pictured here outside the ship. The two traveled the eastern Caribbean, visiting St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Herbert said he was impressed with the food, service and how well-organized the whole cruise was.
When he won the prize, Herbert said it was an "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity. After returning, he said one of the best parts was sitting on the balcony and looking out at the ocean.
"Thank you very much to the Missouri Lottery and Royal Caribbean and everyone who helped us enjoy the whole experience," he wrote.
All of the top prizes have been claimed on the "Missouri Lottery's 25th Anniversary Cruise" Scratchers game, but several cruise packages remain. Anyone else interested in a cruise?
