Cash Bam Boom

Got that Independence Day spirit? How about winning some cash playing a holiday-themed Missouri Lottery Scratchers game? Celebrate freedom by picking up a $2 "Cash Bam Boom" Scratchers ticket. This morning's deluge may be indicative of the flood of winners we had this weekend. Both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots rolled, but there were jackpot winners in both Missouri games. A winning Lotto ticket was sold in West Alton. Someone who buys tickets at River's Edge in West Alton matched all six Lotto numbers to win the $1.9 million jackpot. If you shop there, check your tickets closely.

There were two Show Me Cash winners last weekend. A ticket sold Friday night at Price Chopper, 6327 Brookside Plaza in Kansas City, matched all five Show Me Cash numbers to win the $344,000 jackpot. Another winning ticket was sold last night in Carthage. Someone matched all five Show Me Cash numbers to win a $55,000 jackpot. The winning ticket was sold at Snak Atak, 201 E. Central Ave., in Carthage.

One player matched four white-ball numbers and the Megaball to win $10,000. That winning ticket was sold at Schnucks Market, 2030 Dorsett Road, in Maryland Heights.

There were three Club Keno jackpot winning tickets sold last weekend. The winning tickets include the following:

• 6-Spot - $7,160, sold at Wappapello Eagles
• 7-Spot - $5,516, sold at Kum & Go in Kirksville
• 9-Spot - $8,000, sold at the VFW in Harrisonville

The Harrisonville winner matched eight of the nine spots, and the winning 7-Spot ticket was a Keno To Go ticket. More proof that you can win anytime, anywhere, with Keno To Go.

Even with all of those big winners last weekend, there are big jackpots to play for this week. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot has grown to $88 million, and Wednesday's Powerball jackpot is $76 million. Congratulations to all of the winners, and good luck!

Club Keno!

The Show Me Cash jackpot rolled last night, but yesterday did produce another big Club Keno winner. A winning 7-Spot ticket was sold at Schottzie's Bar & Grill in St. Louis. This location has produced big winners before, and whoever hold this latest ticket has claim to the $10,586 prize.

You don't have to go to a lucky bar to play Keno. Pick up a Keno To Go ticket at any Missouri Lottery retail location.

Hot rod and free gas

Drawing #1 in the "Muscle Car Mania" second-chance promotion is complete. The winners list is posted here.

Denzil Moore of Golden City will have his pick of the four cars available in the "American Muscle" game. Another 15 players won a year's worth of free gasoline, and an additional 35 players picked up $500 to spruce up their current ride.

There were more than 74,000 entries in this drawing. The next entry deadline is July 19.

If you'd like to win a new Mustang, Challenger, Charger or Camaro, pick up an "American Muscle" Scratchers ticket. If you don't win $75,000 or a muscle car instantly, you can enter non-winning tickets into the next drawing for a second chance. Good luck!

Best Seats in the House

The Missouri Lottery is sponsoring 9th Street Summerfest in Columbia again this year. The shows are free, but if you want to sit down, the Missouri Lottery has the Best Seats in the House! Just ask Candy Barton from Clarence, one of the winners from the first show on June 8:

The Mega Millions jackpot rolled, but there were some big winners in Missouri last night. One player matched four white-ball numbers and the Megaball to win $10,000. That winning ticket was sold at QuikTrip, 6309 N.E. Antioch Road, in Gladstone.

Friday's Mega Millions jackpot is $76 million.

There was also a big Club Keno winner last night. A winning 7-Spot ticket was sold at Clementine's in St. Louis. That location has had big winners before. Whoever holds this latest ticket is due to collect the $10,025 prize.

There are more big jackpots up for grabs tonight. Powerball is $48 million, Lotto is $1.8 million and the Show Me Cash jackpot is $270,000!

Silver Anniversary

The latest winners from drawing #5 in the "Silver Anniversary" second-chance promotion have been added to the map. Each of the 25 winners this month will receive $1,000 and advance to the grand-prize drawing for $1 million. We had a few repeat winners this month, which means they will have an even better chance to win that $1 million prize.

We see sales dip a little in the summer, presumably because people are busy having fun and taking vacations. Is that the case? Are you traveling or so busy that you forget to buy tickets? $4 Billion

On June 17, the Missouri Lottery transferred $20.9 million to public education. The transfer brought Lottery proceeds for Fiscal Year 2011 to more than $259 million, our goal for the year. For 25 years, the Lottery has been generating proceeds for the state and public education. With this latest transfer to the Lottery Proceeds Fund, the Missouri Lottery passed the $4 billion mark.

We’re proud of that figure. While the Lottery can’t solely fund all of the public education needs of our state, that contribution of $4 billion is money that otherwise wouldn’t have been available, requiring higher taxes or other sources of funding.

The Missouri Lottery wants to thank the players, vendors, retailers and employees who help support public education in Missouri. We couldn’t have done it without you. We’ll keep working hard to provide fun and entertaining games for you to enjoy, while generating funds for public education.
