Big Bucks Winner!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the "Big Bucks" promotion. The Lottery conducted the prize drawing Friday, and prizes have been sent to the winners. 

The grand-prize winner is Richard Conover of Springfield. He's pictured here showing off his big trophy catch. Runner-ups include:  Greg Benson of St. Peters, Don McCloud of St. Louis, Richard Politte of Union, Daniel Hogan of Ballwin and Mary Ann Rolfes of Hermann. Congratulations to all the winners.

Where it's at

The Powerball jackpot got hit in Florida, plus a player from North Carolina won $1 million with Power Play. In Missouri, two players matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000. The winning tickets were sold in the following locations:

• Mid-Towne IGA on Hawthorne Ave. in St. Charles
• Mobil on the Run on N. Main in O'Fallon

There were also a couple of big Club Keno winners. Winning tickets were sold at the following locations:

• $50,678 8-Spot - Redbirds Sports Cafe & Billiards in Hazelwood
• $13,525 7-Spot - American Legion in St. Robert

For the second time this week, we had a big Club Keno winning ticket sold in Jefferson City. An 8-Spot ticket sold at C Dubs Pub & Grub won $61,645.

The winning ticket from Spectators earlier this week went to a bartender. It helps to be in front of the monitor all day with plenty of opportunities to buy tickets. Jackpot alert!

It's excitement time for jackpot players! No one hit the Powerball jackpot last night, but players in Arizona, Florida and Idaho won $1 million each with Power Play. Saturday's jackpot rolls to $184 million! Remember, it only takes $1 to win. (Although, as the previously mentioned out-state winners can attest, it may pay to add Power Play for an extra $1!)

Missouri did have a lot of winners last night. Twenty-seven people won $250 playing Show Me Cash, and another 13 won $773 playing Lotto. More than 27,000 players won some kind of prize in Powerball.

So it sets up a big weekend ahead. The Mega Millions jackpot Friday is $76 million. Saturday's Lotto jackpot is $1.3 million. If you don't want to wait until the weekend, play Show Me Cash tonight for $70,000. And don't forget the Powerball tickets. 

Powerball!

Missourians cleaned up in the recent Powerball Watch To Win promotion.  Six players from Missouri won Bose® headphones in the last drawing, and a total of 16 of the potential 134 prizes went to Missourians. 

Missouri is one of the original Powerball states and our figures support that longevity.  Missouri ranks second in the most jackpot winners of any member Lottery with 26. 

With that in mind, tonight’s Powerball jackpot is $155 million!  It only takes $1 to win. 

Club Keno!

No one hit the Mega Millions jackpot last night (Friday's jackpot is now $76 million!), but that doesn't mean no one won big. The winner of the day came from right here in Jefferson City.  A winning 7-Spot Club Keno ticket was sold at Spectators Sportsbar & Billiards. The lucky player will collect a $20,412 prize once they sleep off the likely celebration.

Spirit of Giving

We heard from an unusual winner last week.  The director of an addiction recovery center in Kansas City came in to claim a $20,000 winning Lottery ticket.  An anonymous donor sent the ticket to the Welcome House with a short note thanking the center for help received in the past. 

Welcome House Executive Director Greg Roark said, “There are some good people in the world.  We obviously helped this guy get his life back together to the point where he wanted to give back to us.” 

The non-profit recovery center runs solely on donations, and Roark said the donation is welcome.  Some of the money has already been spent on the heating bill for the center which houses about 80 men.  Read the full story here.   

Where it's at

There were some big winners during the long weekend.  No one hit the jackpot in Powerball or Mega Millions, but players in other states did win $1 million with Power Play and the Megaplier®.  In Missouri, one player matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000, and multiplied that prize into $50,000 by adding Power Play.  The winning ticket was sold at Larry's Store in Scott City.

  There were a couple of big Club Keno winners.  The following locations sold winning tickets: 

• $25,000 9-Spot - Hot Shots in St. Charles
• $13,754 7-Spot - Blue Springs Bowl in Blue Springs

The big winner was a player from St. Louis who matched all five winning Show Me Cash numbers Saturday night.  The player who holds the ticket, sold at Schnucks Market on Hampton Village Plaza in St. Louis, has claim to the $147,000 jackpot. 

There are some big jackpots to play for this week.  Tonight's Mega Millions jackpot is $64 million, and the Powerball jackpot for Wednesday is $155 million! 

Happy Presidents' Day

State offices, including the Missouri Lottery, will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday. 

We hope you can use the day to go furniture shopping, or spend time with your family.  If you get the urge to put some presidents in your pocket, tickets will be for sale as usual at thousands of retailers across the state.
