Happy Memorial Day

This weekend marks the beginning of summer.  We hope you'll be able to enjoy some time with family doing things you enjoy.  Wherever your plans take you, I'm sure there are plenty of Missouri Lottery retailers along the way, in case you need a ticket for the $220 million Powerball jackpot. ;-)

State offices, including the Missouri Lottery, will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday.  We salute all who have died in service of our nation.

Where it's at

What a night for Missouri Lottery players.  There was only one lucky player who matched all five white-ball numbers in Powerball and selected Power Play to win $1 million.  Someone who buys tickets at Price Cutter, 2021 W. Republic Road in Springfield, is holding the winning ticket. 

Another player used Power Play to win $40,000.  A ticket sold at Country Express in Marshfield matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball, plus added Power Play to their ticket to multiply the $10,000 prize into $40,000. 

Four other players matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000.  Those tickets were sold at the following locations: 

• Abel's Quick Shop on Shinn Lane in Hannibal
• QuikTrip on Main Street in St. Peters
• Circle K, 12804 Manchester Road, in Des Peres
• Schnucks on Overland Plaza in St. Louis

And that's not all.  Someone got lucky playing Club Keno at Schottzie's Bar & Grill in St. Louis.  An 8-spot ticket won $8,000. 

The Powerball jackpot now stands at $220 million for Saturday's drawing.  Good luck, but please play responsibly. 

Where it's at

There was a winning ticket sold for last night's Mega Millions drawing.  A player from New York will take the $64 million jackpot.  In Missouri, three tickets matched four white-ball numbers and the Megaball® to win $10,000.  Two of those tickets were sold at the same location, and all were in Kansas City.

• QuikTrip, 1301 Westport Road

If you buy your tickets at QuikTrip, you should probably check your numbers. 

Catch the Cardinals™

The next entry deadline in the "Catch the Cardinals™" second-chance promotion is 5 p.m. on June 8.  Submit your non-winning "St. Louis Cardinals™" Scratchers tickets for a chance to win some fabulous prizes.

There were three players who matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000 Saturday.  The winning tickets were sold at the following locations: 

• Casey's General Store on Highway CC in Nixa
• Mac's in Joplin
• Fast Lane in Ashland

Check out these jackpots this week - Mega Millions is $64 million Tuesday night and Powerball is $190 million Wednesday.  If you can't wait, play Show Me Cash tonight for an estimated $77,000!  Good luck.

The big story is no one hit the Powerball jackpot last night.  In Missouri, two players matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000.  The winning tickets were purchased at the following locations: 

• J R Cigars in Clayton
• Miller's General Store on Highway 71 in Savannah

There was another big Club Keno winner.  A player who buys tickets at Arris Pizza and Pub in Fulton won $5,445 on a 6-spot ticket. 

Saturday's Powerball jackpot is an estimated $170 million.  Please play responsibly. 

Where it's at

There were some big winners in Missouri last night.  A player in St. Louis matched five white-ball numbers in Mega Millions to win $250,000.  The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K, 5590 Telegraph Road, in St. Louis. 

Another player matched four white-ball numbers and the Megaball® to win $10,000.  The winning ticket was purchased at QuikTrip, 1923 Bowles Ave., in Fenton. 

There was a Show Me Cash winner last night.  A player who buys tickets at Jump Stop, 1800 Lucas & Hunt Road in St. Louis, is holding a winning ticket for the $60,000 jackpot. 

The winners list is rounded out with a player who won $13,621 playing Club Keno.  The winning ticket was sold at The Piano Room on Wornall in Kansas City.  Congratulations to all the winners! 

Summerfest

Summer is nearly here and that means it's time once again for the 9th Street Summerfest in Columbia.  The first show is scheduled for May 26, and the Missouri Lottery will have the best seats in the house.  (That's because they are the only seats in the house!) 

Summerfest takes place on 9th Street in Columbia, and the show on May 26 features the band of Montreal.  Check out The Blue Note homepage for a sample.  And oh yeah, it's free.

Sent your form in?

The Missouri Lottery has teamed up with the Complete Count Committee to publicize the 2010 Census.  You'll see a message printed on your tickets this week reminding players to send their census forms in.  It's very important for Missouri to get an accurate count this year, as tax dollars and congressional representation are based on those numbers.  The growth or decline of Missouri's population could affect the number of legislators we have in the U.S. House. 

We hope all of you have already attended to your civic duty, but if not, send those census forms in. 

Where it's at

No jackpot winners in Powerball or Mega Millions, although a player in Delaware won $1 million with Power Play and a player in Texas won $1 million with the Megaplier®.  Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot is $42 million, and the Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night is $145 million. 

In Missouri, the name of the game was Show Me Cash.  We awarded the 89th jackpot to a player from Des Peres.  Someone who buys tickets at Circle K, 12804 Manchester Road, matched all five numbers to win the $174,194 jackpot.  Salute!
