Happy Valentine's Day!

With Valentine's Day hitting on a Sunday this year, sandwiched between two state holidays, you may have overlooked something special for the loved one in your life. Never fear - the Missouri Lottery is here to help. 

You could always pick up a few Scratchers tickets for that special someone.  I might suggest the $2 game, "Ruby Red 7's."  It's red, features jewels, and you could win up to $27,777 instantly.  A trip to the Lottery office to claim that prize might just be the most memorable Valentine's Day ever. 

Happy Presidents' Weekend

State offices, including the Lottery, will be closed Friday, Feb. 12, and Monday, Feb. 15, in honor of Lincoln's birthday and Presidents' Day.  The Lottery will re-open for regular business at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16. 

In the meantime, there are thousands of Missouri Lottery retailers statewide that will be selling your favorite Lottery games, plus redeeming prizes up to $600.

Easy as 1-2-3

Pick 3 players had a big night on Tuesday.  The Pick 3 winning combination in last night's drawing was 1-2-3.  That combination consistently ranks among the top 15 played for any given drawing.  Players made out big with more than $241,000 paid in prizes - about 236 percent of sales. 

There was another big winner last night.  Someone who plays Club Keno at the American Legion in New Haven won $5,000.  Congratulations to all the winners!

From the Director

The Missouri Lottery Commission hired a new executive director in December.  She took over immediately and is already tackling big issues, such as the budget, working with the legislature which began new in January, and overseeing the addition of Mega Millions in Missouri.  Here is a welcome video from the new director, May Scheve Reardon. 

Where it's at

It was a super weekend for Missouri Lottery players.  Players enjoying sporting events in gathering places also played a little Club Keno and won.  A ticket worth more than $58,000 was sold at Shot Heaven on Gravois Road in St. Louis.  Another ticket worth more than $8,000 was sold at The Bean House on Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis.  

The Powerball run came to an end, with a winning jackpot ticket sold in North Carolina.  But several players in Missouri cashed in big wins.  We had two players match all five white-ball numbers to win $200,000.  Those tickets were sold at the following locations: 

• Bloomsdale 66 in Bloomsdale
• Murphy Express on Highway 54 in Osage Beach

Another player matched all five white-ball numbers and added Power Play.  That turned the prize into an automatic $1 million!  If you buy tickets at QuikTrip, 2600 Old Highway 141 in Fenton, make sure to check them closely.  You could be a millionaire!

Because we care

In exchange for wearing jeans on Fridays in November and December, Lottery employees donated food items for a local charity.  In total, 480 pounds of non-perishable food was donated to the Samaritan Center in Jefferson City.  Even though we got the benefit of dressing down on Fridays, it made us happy to be able to help the less fortunate in these difficult times. 

Our thanks to the Samaritan Center for the work they do and for allowing us to contribute.

Where it's at

No one hit the Powerball jackpot last night, but two players in other states used Power Play to win $1 million.  It was a big night for players in Missouri.  Two players matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000.  Those tickets were sold at the following locations: 

• Ice House, 1702 Missouri St., in Macon
• Break Time, 1200 Missouri Blvd., in Jefferson City

Another player matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball, and by adding Power Play, multiplied the prize to $20,000.  That winning ticket was sold at Calia's Sunfresh on Prairie View Drive in Kansas City. 

There was also a big Club Keno winner last night.  A player who buys tickets at the VFW in Lee's Summit won $5,900! 

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday is an estimated $140 million! 

This just in...

Due to the high volume of sales with the addition of new states to the Powerball group, the estimated jackpot for Wednesday has been increased.  If you buy a ticket for Wednesday's Powerball drawing, you'll be playing for $115 million!  Dust off those playslips and get in the game!

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night is an estimated $107 million, and don't forget, you can now play Mega Millions in Missouri.  Tuesday night's estimated jackpot is $12 million.
