It seems like only months ago - the Roots 'N Blues 'N BBQ festival in Columbia. Thousands of music and barbecue lovers descended on the college town for two days of fun in September. If you were there, then you know the sights, sounds and smells were out of this world. If you weren't, check out this report by producer Frank Finley.

The Roots and Blues Reel Lottery describes this event as the SECOND annual Roots 'N Blues 'N BBQ, this year (2009) it was the THIRD annual happening of this event, not the second. The first was September 7-8, 2007.

Of course, you are correct. Thanks for pointing that out.

My wife and I have not bought any scratch-off tickets for quite a while due to the tickets constantly being losers. Case in point - today is my wife's birthday. She received $50 in lottery tickets from friends and only won 2 tickets. Maybe too much emphasis is being payed on making a few mega winners and not enough of the lower amounts. Either way, you can bet we're not buying scratchers for a long while!

Thanks for the comment. I'm sorry to hear of your streak of bad luck. The mix of winners is something we consider thoroughly, and it varies from game to game. For instance, some of the lower price point games may feature a larger number of small prizes, while the draw for the $20 games is definitely the potential to win big. I'll share your comments with our instant game manager.
