This is Responsible Gaming Education week in Missouri. We want to take this time to remind you that if you or someone you know has a gambling problem, free help is available at 888-Bets Off, or www.888betsoff.org. We hope you enjoy playing the Lottery, but we also hope that you always play within your means and only for fun.
The 2008 Midwest Conference on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse is taking place this week in St. Louis. This conference has become one of the premier opportunities for continuing education for counselors and treatment professionals. Highlights include sessions and keynotes from some of the nation's leading professionals, including Dr. Westley Clark, the director of the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
The Missouri Lottery is proud to be a member of the Missouri Alliance to Curb Problem Gambling and of our contribution to the Midwest Conference on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse. We would like to welcome all participants in this year's conference. You can find more information about this event here.

I like the fact that the Powers at Be in the Powerball are trying to give out MORE winning moneys BUT why is matching 3 white balls or 2 white balls & a power ball ONLY worth $7? Or the $3 prize? WHY doesn't PB give $70,000 & $30,000 do you realize how that much money would HELP families budget? I think more winners is a GREAT thing. Thank you

if you wanted to really make the powerball a better game, then you should have had a survey among players. for one thing, adding more balls for a higher jackpot, is not my idea of better. better is making a $250,ooo prize if you hit all five white balls without the powerball. also any combination of five balls, like four white balls and the powerball, should pay out the same as five white balls, instead of $10,000. i would rather see more winners of smaller jackpots than winners of huge jackpots. one person with all that money is a waste. spread the wealth and make more people millionaires and dont even think about raising the price of a ticket, that would only hurt the game.
