Look for the Lottery

We've mentioned a few promotions that took place at specific locations lately, so it's probably a good time to let you know about promotions that are happening at some of your favorite events over the next several months.  The Missouri Lottery occasionally teams up with various venues to inject excitement into their regular events.  If you find yourself at any of the following events, keep your eyes and ears open for Lottery promotions that could be happening.  You wouldn't want to miss out on free stuff.

• River City Rage arena football games
• Springfield Cardinals baseball games
• River City Rascals baseball games
• Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre concert series (St. Louis) 

Where it's at

No one matched all six numbers in Powerball but someone did match all six Lotto numbers.  If you buy your tickets in O'Fallon, you'll want to check your tickets closely.  The jackpot was worth $2.2 million, and if the winner chooses the cash option, the amount will be $1,364,906 before taxes.  It is the 175th winning Lotto jackpot ticket sold. 

Two lucky players matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000.  Those tickets were sold at...

The Powerball jackpot for April 30 is an estimated $162 million.

Yo Mid-Missouri!

The Missouri Lottery is teaming up with our good friends at Break Time for a very special promotion on April 25.  From 3 - 5 p.m. we'll be discounting up to 10 gallons of gas with a $5 Powerball purchase.  This promotion is limited to the first 144 customers.  Listen to Y107 in Columbia for more details.  Because we're talking about prices like you haven't seen in more than four years, they won't announce the location until 2:30 p.m.  See you at the pump. 

Jackpot Alert!

No one hit the big one on Wednesday night and so the jackpot grows.  The Powerball jackpot for April 26 is an estimated $144 million! 

A few people did have some lucky tickets.  Someone who buys tickets at Gas Mart USA 11 on Armour Road in North Kansas City matched five white-ball numbers to win $200,000.  And two people matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball number to win $10,000.  Those tickets were sold at...

• Fast Lane Muegge on Old Highway 94S in St. Charles
• QuikTrip on Antioch in Gladstone

Here's a kicker.  The Power Play number was 10.  If any of these people had selected the Power Play option, it would have meant big money.  Only nine of the 102 people matching four white-ball numbers selected the Power Play option to turn their $100 prize into $1,000.  There are only two drawings left in the Powerball Power Play 10X® promotion.  Good luck. 

Spring cleaning

We need to do a little spring cleaning on our mailing list.  We have several My Lottery accounts that are not up to date and haven't been accessed for a few years.  In an effort to become more efficient and eliminate unnecessary addresses, we plan on dumping a lot of the outdated accounts.  If you haven't checked your account in a while or updated the information there, now would be a good time to do so.  We don't want to kick anyone out who still wants to receive information from us, but we don't want to clog the system with dead-end messages either.  Do us a solid and make sure the account you use is up to date.  Thanks.

Viper Club

In case you haven't heard, we're giving away three 2008 Dodge® Viper® SRT10 Coupes this spring in our "Muscle Up" second-chance Scratchers promotion.  The first deadline is 5 p.m. today.  As it turns out, there's a club of dedicated Viper® enthusiasts who have noted our promotion.  I got an email today from the National Treasurer of the Viper Club of America who happens to live in Overland Park.  He writes...

Greetings... I couldn't be more tickled with this latest promotion.  We have already posted about the drawings on our Web site and will undoubtedly sell some more tickets for you as a result.  As a national officer of the club, I am not eligible to enter the occasional Viper raffles we hold in the club, so this is an even bigger treat for me personally. 

Congrats on a great promotion - the closest Missouri retailer to me has already sold out of every game!

What does it mean for you?  Well, it probably means that there's going to be a lot of people hoping to win.  It also means that if you are lucky enough to win one of the cars, there's a club waiting for you to become a member.  I went to the group's Web site and it appears to be a rather large and well-organized club.  They really love their cars.  Wouldn't you love one too? 

PS - Chris mentions that his retailer has sold out of the games.  There are still plenty of tickets available, but that might be something to keep in mind.  There's still two drawings after this one.

What a deal!

The winners from the "Deal or No Deal" second-chance promotion enjoyed a trip to Hollywood last week.  None of our winners got selected to tape an actual show with Howie and the girls, but everyone won additional prizes.  Two of our six winners picked up $25,000, one won $15,000, two won $10,000 and one won $5,000.  While in California, the winners were treated to several sight-seeing trips and all of the glitz that comes with the heart of the entertainment biz - impersonators, movie back-lots, even a trip to Disneyland.  Here's a nice note from Mike in Carthage. 

Well our feet are back on the ground after an "AWESOME" trip for a week in Hollywood. This has been a trip of a lifetime. We cannot thank you enough for the week. The MDI staff were wonderful. It was organized so well and we met so many wonderful people from the other states.

The "Deal or No Deal" taping, the trip to Disneyland and then the Paramount Back Lot party were so awesome.

We would just like to say a "BIG THANK YOU" and we will be entering again.

Now we're rolling

There was one winner to match four white-ball numbers in Powerball over the weekend to win $10,000.  That ticket was sold at Casey's in Cameron.  Since no one matched all six numbers, the jackpot rolled and is now worth an estimated $125 million for the April 23 drawing.  Dust off the players group materials and call your friends.  Powerball is back in the big money stage.  (And don't forget Power Play 10X® - you could turn a little win into big money)
