Keep on talking!

Wow, we're getting a lot of feedback about our new Web site.  Some of you don't like it - we get that.  Things have moved and we did experience some problems with certain functions.  We do appreciate all the comments - even the angry ones.  Keep in mind that we won't post hateful statements and as a housekeeping item, we prefer to only post comments that relate to the story you've commented under.  You can keep sending emails directly to me if you have an unrelated question. 

We apologize for not answering quickly - we've been busy little elves around here.  We have heard some good things, and we think once everything shakes out, you'll like the new format.  We are certainly happy you've found your way to the blog and encourage you to keep on talking. 

Holiday in the Driveway

The holiday promotion is well underway and you should be considering which drawing you want to enter.  The next deadline is Dec. 11, and the vehicle up for grabs is a Jeep® Wrangler.  All of the holiday Scratchers are eligible as part of the $10 worth of tickets needed for entry.  In addition, three different Mega Scratchers can be entered in "Holiday in the Driveway."  Those include game 613 "Lifetime Riches," game 646 "$250,000 Mega Cash" and game 673 "100 Million Dollar Blockbuster."  The holiday-themed Scratchers tickets might sell out early, so if you're interested in the Chevrolet® Avalanche truck to be drawn on Jan. 17, perhaps you should save your $10 tickets for the final drawing.  Each drawing includes 20 prizes of $1,000 in gas and 50 prizes of $500 cash, so even if you don't win the new vehicle, there are plenty of reasons to be in the promotion.  Good luck.

Scratchers as gifts

Welcome to the holiday season.  Many of you will begin your shopping today, so it's a perfect time to remind you that Scratchers tickets make great gifts.  We have four different holiday-themed Scratchers that you can use as gift tags or the present itself.  Try the $1 game "Merry Money" or the $2 game "Happy Holidays."  The always-popular bingo game is available as the $2 ticket "Frosty Bingo."  Or, if you want something in a little higher price range, try the $5 game "Season's Greetings," where you could win up to $100,000.  These tickets are selling fast, so don't count on them being around at the last minute.  All of the holiday Scratchers are eligible to be entered in our holiday promotion "Holiday in the Driveway," so it's kind of like a gift that keeps on giving.  Save some gas and your sanity by picking up some holiday Scratchers tickets, but remember, you must be 18 to play.  Happy Holidays!

Going fast

The Million Dollar Raffle has been a big hit, and more than one-fifth of the tickets are already sold.  At this pace, the game will sell out before the end of the year.  In that event, the drawing date will be moved up from the projected Jan. 21 drawing.  Don't wait around for your best chance at a million dollars.  Pick up your MDR ticket today!

The jackpot rolls

Will the lightning strike?  The Powerball jackpot for Nov. 21 is now $120 million!  Someone could wake up on Thursday with a whole bunch of reasons to be thankful.  What an excellent time of year to have a jackpot run.  If you were the lucky winner, what would you do with the money?

In case you haven't noticed, the Powerball jackpot for Nov. 17 is $109 million.  If you wait for the jackpot to get big before buying tickets, now is the time.  Is $109 million enough for you? 

Calling for entries

There are a couple of big entry deadlines looming.  The first is Tuesday, Nov. 20, the cutoff for the first "Holiday in the Driveway" promotion drawing on Nov. 29.  Enter $10 worth of qualifying Scratchers tickets to be eligible to win a Pontiac Solstice convertible.  We will also be giving away 20 first prizes of $1,000 in gas and 50 second prizes of $500 in cash.  Odds are always based on the number of entries received, so it's your best guess which drawing will have the most submissions.  There are two more vehicles available in this promotion, but if it's the convertible that wets your whistle, you need to get your tickets in by Nov. 20.  The other deadline is Nov. 27, which is the cutoff for drawing number four in the "Deal or No Deal" second-chance promotion.  After this drawing takes place on Dec. 5, only two slots will remain for the grand-prize - a trip for four to Hollywood and a chance to play the real "Deal or No Deal" game.  Join previous grand-prize winners Tamara Tanner and Mike Shoemaker for a spring trip to Hollywood, where you could end up on the TV game show playing for a million dollars. 

You can't win if you don't play, and that requires getting your entries in before it's too late.  Good luck.
